It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the cities of Lake County, FL are decorated with holiday spirit. Here is a list of some of the must-see light displays in “Real Florida” located a short drive from Orlando.
Downtown Mount Dora
Stroll through over 2 MILLION sparkling lights when you visit Mount Dora’s spectacular downtown. Streets, alleys and shops are lined with decorations to fill your heart with holiday spirit. Enjoy sparkling trees, themed storefronts, Christmas trees and more through February! Must see places include Donnelly Park, Mount Dora City Hall and the dancing lighted Christmas Tree at Sunset Park.
Cottom Farm’s Christmas Village
Cottom Farm’s Christmas Village was featured on the ABC TV show “The Great Christmas Light Fight” and invites you to tour “Santa’s Southern Home.” The Christmas light display is open 6-9 p.m. through New Year’s Eve. Explore the Christmas Village and Hayrides from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 10-Dec. 24 and see Santa and Mrs. Claus on the weekends.

Downtown Eustis
“America’s Hometown” is full of holiday cheer! Visit downtown Eustis to see the lights at Ferran Park! Take a walk along the lake, enjoy food and check out the store that’s a winter wonderland all year-round, Peddler’s Wagon.
Venetian Gardens Park
Venetian Gardens Park is one of the most picturesque places to visit in Central Florida and it is even better when it is bright with holiday cheer! Walk through a winter wonderland while you island hop along the shores of Lake Harris. Stop in downtown Leesburg for a bite to eat and find someone a gift in one of the boutique stores.
Downtown Tavares
“America’s Seaplane City” celebrates the holidays in true Florida fashion by decorating all of the palm trees that line Main St. in downtown Tavares and much more. Get the perfect holiday photos in front of the decorations at the historic Tavares Union Train Station and along the shores of Lake Dora through Wooton Park.
Downtown Clermont
Located 30 minutes west of downtown Orlando is the city of Clermont, the “Choice of Champions.” This year families can enjoy the Holiday Enchanted Forest – a stroll through over 40 decorated Christmas trees.
Florida Citrus Tower
While checking out the lights in Downtown Clermont, make sure to stop at the Chick-fil-A Christmas Spectacular (at Florida Citrus Tower) located just a few minutes away at 141 S. U.S. Highway 27. You won’t want to miss the music-synced flashing light show sponsored by Chick-fil-A Clermont running from 6-10 p.m. every night through the end of the year. Also stop inside to enjoy hot cocoa and specialty themed coffee from Citrus Coffee Co.
